An accomplished vocalist of the Gwalior Gharana , Dr. Vikas N. Kashalkar hails from a family with music tradition. Dr. Kashalkar received his basic training in classical music from his father N.D. Kashalkar a renowned musicologist. Further, he received his advanced training in music from Pandit Gajananrao Joshi, a stalwart of the Gwalior, Jaipur & Agra Gharana and a violin virtuoso. Dr. Kashalkar's singing reflects all the brilliant facets of systematic training : 'Talim ka Gana', in the language of the music connoisseurs. His melodious voice and intricacies of Taans give immense joy to the listeners. Dr.Kashalkar is a member of the Research and Recognition Committee at the University of Pune and Goa. Yadnesh Raikar is fast becoming a leading exponent of Hindustani Classical Violin. He is Son and Disciple of renowned Violinist Swarpradnya Pandit Milind Raikar He is also lucky to have received guidance from Ganasaraswati Kishori Amonkar. He also took training in vocal from Anand Pednekar and Late Pt. Vasantrao Kadnekar. He performed his first solo recital at the age of 4 in front of 600 music connoisseurs. Since then he has performed at many prestigious music festivals such as Hridayesh Arts Festival, Rajab Ali Khan Mahotsav, Sangeet Shankar Darbar Festival, Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav etc. Amit Kavthekar is a disciple of Ustad Alla Rakha and is a leading tabla player in the United States. Amit has toured extensively across the world to perform as a soloist and accompanist. Amit is a faculty of tabla at NESOM.
Pravin Kaslikar completed master’s from Lalit Kala Kendra in Pune and further trained in Indian music from Dr. Vikas Kashalkar. Pravin honed his harmonium skills under the able guidance of Pramod Marathe.
Yogesh Karale trained under the tutelage of Maestro Late Pandit Sadashiv Pawar, from Farukhabad gharana, for 14 years and is now pursuing guidance from renowned Tabla player Shree Praveen Karkare. |
