Women Who Win Presents a Powerful Summer Summit on June 2nd - CEO Leadership, Mental Health, Male Allyship, Storytelling and Community Connections

Women Who Win Summer Summit, will be hosted at the Academy of Creative Arts in Burlington Massachusetts on June 2nd from 1 PM - 5 PM. A free and accessible event, this unique summit will bring diverse women and men from across the community together.

Co-Founder Dr. Manju Sheth says, “This event has been conceptualized solely based on the feedback from our readers, and the topics they are most interested in. Diversity & Inclusion are  at the core of Women Who Win, and we believe empowerment and educational forums are the key facets of that.”

The event’s Keynote Session will be “CEO Connection: Navigating C-Suite & Executive Realms”, which will feature  accomplished female leaders to share their insights, experiences, and strategies for success in the corporate world with the purpose that event attendees feel motivated to “pay it forward” by applying these strategies and lessons in their own workplaces.  Panelists include: Dr. Abha Agarwal: CEO of Lawrence General Hospital; Denella J. Clark: President & CEO of Boston Arts Academy Foundation  & Commissioner - Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women; Priya Iyer: Chairman and CEO of Concertiv, and Dr. Maha Radhakrishnan: Former CMO of Biogen. The panel will be moderated by Women Who Win Advisory Board member Rita Advani.

Co-Founder Dr. Deepa Jhaveri shares, “We are honored and privileged to have these amazing women, community advocates and leaders in their fields talk about navigating to and within leadership at the C-suite level, the impact they have had, their struggles and advice on the elusive work-life balance”.

Co-Founder Shaleen Sheth adds, “As the youngest member of this team, I am particularly excited about this session and hearing the real stories, real successes and real challenges that these successful women that I look up to have faced in their careers first hand.”

One of the highlights of the summit will be the “Mental Health & Wellbeing” session,  led by Dr. Shalini Mansharamani where she will bring a multi-perspective panel including a psychiatrist, therapist, and nurse practitioner to cover relevant topics on anxiety & depression coping mechanisms, role of culture and family on mental health, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Dr. Manju Sheth notes, “As a healthcare provider, I have seen how mental health issues have reached a crisis state and an all time high, particularly post pandemic. Over the years, we have received increasing requests from our readers to address the topic of mental health with experts and in an in-person setting where they can ask their most pressing questions. As a doctor, I look forward  to seeing the impact this session will have, and how it can foster continued conversations.”

As the afternoon progresses, the team will bring women who have written for Women Who Win  to the stage, where they will reflect and further expand on their journeys from the online platform and recently released book, through a moderated panel led by Jharna Madan, and an open mic session led by Ruchika Yadav.

Co-founder Shaleen Sheth says, “We have shared 500+ stories on our website since we launched almost 4 years ago on our digital platforms and in our book. I am excited for these sessions to bring these beautiful and relatable journeys to the stage, and give them that extra dimension that the live in-person setting offers. I think it will add a new medium to our storytelling platform. ”

There will also be an enriching panel on “Male Allyship”, led by Preetesh Srivastava,  where we will bring an important conversation on the role men have in advancing gender equity in patriarchal societies and in the corporate world, and the power of men and women supporting each other.

As giving back to the community is core to Women Who Win’s mission,  the event will conclude with a  “Meet the Community Organizations” session, where local organizations who are leading change and impact in our communities everyday, will give a 2 minute pitch on how people can volunteer and help their organizations. These include IMANE, Saheli, Vision Aid, and PAGB to name a few, and the session will be led by Eshani Shah and Anmara Nawaz Khan.

Powerful poetry by Sunayna Kachroo on the challenges and triumphs of a woman’s life, a themed-based dance performance, and a wonderful poem on the art of storytelling by Manisha Jain will further enrich and add a level of creativity to this afternoon. The Women Who Win co-founders are grateful for the support of the broader team and community, including Academy of Creative Arts Founders Java and Hetal Joshi, Ruchika Arora, Ramila Thakkar, Lucy Karis, Aashita Shekhar [Creator of Ascend Jiva ] and Rama Penumarthy.
