Raksha Soni 04/18/2024 In a celebration of
cultural diversity and artistic expression, “Kalakruti – a collective canvas of
Indian artists” showcased the rich tapestry of Indian artistry through their
work during the LearnQuest 5-days Music festival at Regis College in Weston, MA. From March 29th to March
31st and April 13th to 14th, the exhibition served as a vibrant mosaic of
India's cultural heritage, bringing together a myriad of artistic styles,
mediums, and themes. Over 50 original art pieces ranging from
breathtaking realistic portraits to divine sculptures, vibrant watercolor
landscapes to iconic traditional paintings like Kalamkari, Madhubani, Kerala
Murals, Kalighat and other art forms illuminated the halls of LearnQuest. The exhibition curated
by 12 gifted artists - Debajyoti Biswas, Geeta Jakkaraju, Giridhar Pottepalem,
Joicy Malarvizhi, Kavita Gohil, Mridula Satyamurthi, Prity Turkhia, Pushpa
Srivastava, Raksha Soni, Richa Jhanjhari, Sheetal Sarate and Vasanthi Vemparala,
offered an immersive artistic experience to viewers, and the depth of the
collection allowed visitors to delve into the kaleidoscope of Indian artistic
expression. Beyond the visual
splendor, the exhibition not only served as a platform for artists to showcase
their talents but also sparked meaningful conversations about the intersection
of art, culture, and society. Viewers had the opportunity to engage with artists
