Preity Zinta took to Instagram to share a video clarifying the confusion behind her real name. The actress said there have been articles on the internet claiming that her birth name was Pritam Singh which she later changed to Preity Zinta. However, the actress clarified that there is no truth to it and also revealed the story behind the name Pritam Singh coming into existence. In a video, Preity said that she has been asked multiple times if she has changed her name from Pritam Singh to Preity Zinta. She said that she has only added a G to her name, taking the initial of her husband's name Gene Goodenough. "Over the years I have consistently read in various media articles that I have changed my name from Pritam Singh Zinta to Preity Zinta. I have tried to set the record straight so many times by telling everyone that, on the sets of “Soldier†@iambobbydeol called me Pritam Singh as a Joke ( pls ask him why he chose that name when u meet him) The movie became a blockbuster, our friendship flourished & since then Pritam Singh - the name is still stuck to me….. Bachaao. So one last time folks - Pritam Singh was NEVER my name. It’s always been Preity Hope this clarifies everything once and for all," she wrote along with the video.

Actor Shreyas Talpade collapsed after suffering from a heart attack on Thursday evening. The 47-year-old was shooting for his upcoming film 'Welcome To The Jungle' in Mumbai the whole day. The actor, who had to be rushed to the hospital underwent angioplasty at the city’s Bellevue Hospital in Andheri West. ccording to a report in Hindustan Times, a source said Talpade was absolutely fine and shot the entire day for the underproduction multi-starrer film, 'Welcome to the Jungle', the whole day. “He shot through the day, was absolutely fine and joking around with everyone on the set. He even shot sequences that had a bit of action. After finishing the shoot, he went back home and told his wife that he was feeling uneasy. She rushed him to the hospital but he collapsed on the way,†added the source.

The film starred Shah Rukh Khan (Rahul), Kajol (Anjali), and Rani Mukerji. Recently, Kajol revealed that she was keen on playing the role of Tina and not Anjali. In a recent Actors’ Roundtable 2023 on Netflix’s YouTube channel, Kajol disclosed that she fought with Karan to play Tina’s role in the film. When the host asked the actors if they have ever fought for a role, Kajol jumped and said, “I fought in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. I fought with Karan Johar, I wanted to play Tina’s role and he was like, ‘No. You are playing Anjali.’ I was like, ‘But I want to play Tina’s role. You don’t know what I will do with Tina.’ Karan told me to shut up. I fought with him tooth and nail for nearly 45 minutes but he refused categorically.†Sidharth Malhotra, who was part of the conversation, humorously said that he was quite happy “with the way the film turned out.†Others on the round table also agreed that it happened for the best.
