The Vrindavana Preservation Society held its annual Diwali Gala on November 11th to raise funds for the construction of Sri Radha Bhakti Dham’s new community center at 108 Radha Path in Holbrook, MA. Nestled among 7 serene acres, this project is a pivotal part of Braj Mandir’s expansion.

The evening, which was attended by 300+, featured a Diya lighting ceremony by many community dignitaries, include Honorable Subu Kota, Sandeep Asija, Sanjeev Kumar, Kaushik Patel, Dr. Anil Saigal, Abhishek Singh, Dr. Amrut Patel, Dr. Balram Singh and Vikas Deshpande.

The event kicked off with Misti Nordstrom, Mrs. North America 2024, delivering a stirring rendition of the national anthem, and a special tribute was paid to the honored veteran Maggie Lamey, Mrs. Continental Worldwide 2024.

Guests were welcomed with a diverse array of tantalizing appetizers and the enchanting melodies of the Yatra Live Band. The hosts for the evening, Priyanka Wadhwa and Dr. Neelam Sahni, presented awards to Team Khiladi and Waltham 11.

Dr. Sahni provided insights and updates on the Radha Path Project, setting the stage for Pooja Tiwari's electrifying dance performance. The remainder of the evening featured beats by DJ Rohann, an incredible dinner spread, and extraordinary desserts.

A special highlight was the presentation of trophies to champions Ashok Patel and Nikhil Wadhwa by the distinguished Honorable Subu Kota ji. Ashok Patel was recognized for victories in VPS Summer and NECA Division A, while Nikhil Wadhwa achieved success in VPS Fall.

The gala was not only a celebration of Diwali but also a harmonious blend of cultural festivities, community recognition, and fundraising endeavors. The contributions and achievements of individuals were acknowledged in a setting filled with joy and purpose, making it a memorable and meaningful event for all attendees. Congressman Joe Kennedy also shared a special Diwali message, making the event truly memorable.
