 Every abode and store looks so bright
With many joyful sights and sweet bites
Countless fireworks crack at a very height
And display their own splendid might

The dark sky glows with glimmerings
Tasty aromatic sweets are set to relish
Bliss and peace comes down to earth
A hearty happy new year wishes rise

Once the merriment is all the way
The fragrance of flowers spreads
The colorful Rangolis smile so big
Dear gifts come in from near and far

Lamps in rows are lit at every home
Everyone roams around happily
In new colorful classy elegant attires
Shares with joy many sweets and snacks

Diwali a wonderful event of the year
Pricks us to get rid of the darkness within
we open our hearts and light lamps there in
With love we spread its glow far and wide

In the midst of eye-pleasing sights
Welcome with devotion and reverence
Ma Lakshmi and Lord Kubera and
Mark the start of Sanatan New Year

Excitement is there in the atmosphere
The flamboyance of richness is all around
The feeling of Joy is there in everyone and
we get soaked in the spirit of Diwali festivities
