Neela Gandhi 10/24/2023 United India Association of New England (UIANE) held its annual rescheduled Summer picnic on a beautiful crisp fall afternoon on Sunday, October 8th, 2023 at the Larz Anderson Park in Brookline. The event was a potluck picnic with lots of food and barbecue chicken provided by UIANE. The games organized by the enthusiastic board members Aanch Jain, Neeta Datta and Dolly Sood included Tombola, lemon and spoon race, pass the ball and much more with lots of great prizes donated by McDonald’s and gift cards from Dunkin Donuts. The UIANE is a non-profit organization founded in 1984 with a core mission to preserve, promote and nurture the values of our Indian heritage by planning, developing and executing programs which bring the community together.nIn addition to other activities and functions, we regularly hold a festive and elaborate New Year’s party in the ballroom of a premier hotel, seminars, a family picnic in the summer and most importantly, a professionally produced Diwali celebration, rich with music, dance and drama from many regions of India.For more information, visit www.unitedindia.net.
