Indian Americans For Burlington At July 4 Parade
Indian Americans for Burlington participated in the local July 4th parade. We applauded the red-and-blue procession regardless of the weather. The squad had a truck that was decorated to meet the theme of the day. A day before, the IAB team's enthusiastic members decorated the float, which increased their enthusiasm. A playlist of Bollywood songs was prepared, and the sound system was set up for the parade.
The parade's route spanned a two-mile distance. Town residents lined up for the parade and cheered the participants. Despite the rain, everyone came prepared with their tents set up and arranging on their seats with umbrellas to take in the spectacular view of the procession. In addition to participating in the march, the IAB team enjoyed dancing to Bollywood music with the selectmen, members of the July 4th procession committee, Burlington police officers, and other town authorities. That was one of the parade's highlights.
We have great recollections from this event that we will always treasure. Deepa Agrawal, the president of IAB, together with the members of her executive team, Smita Kapadia, Atul Bhammar, Shilpa Patangay, Vaidehi Pathak, Vasantha Kannan, Shweta Mathur, Amrit Soni, Menka Jethra and committed volunteers, are grateful to the Burlington Fourth of July Parade team for arranging this event every year.
The IAB team is working on their forthcoming event to commemorate Diwali, the Indian festival of lights. Stay tuned for additional information!
The IAB Team is excited to take part in the parade once more and celebrate the day with more fun and energy.
