As a child

I saw a galaxy of Gurus

Who surrounded me all the time

At my first school

That is my sweet home

Who imparted their wisdom to me

Without any expectations

I saw a Guru

In my grandpa

Who smiled at me

Who taught me good principles

Through stories and bhajans

I saw a Guru

In my grandma

Who held me in her hands

Who taught me how to behave

Through her own actions and songs

As a child

I saw a Guru

In my father

Who taught me to be bold

To face all life challenges

Through his orderly life

As a child

I saw a guru

In my mother

Who taught me to be nice to others

Through her selfless services

And love for everyone

As a child

I saw a formal Guru in my teachers

Who taught me letters

Who bestowed formal education

Who showed me right paths

Who helped me to excel in life
