The Grammy-nominated Berklee Indian Ensemble just completed the Shuruaat Tour, taking their music to 15 cities across the country. The tour was a resounding success, with almost every show sold out.

Known for blending traditional Indian music with contemporary Western styles, BIE's music is a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of India. Performances are always a treat for the senses.

The Shuruaat Tour was no exception. The band played to packed crowds in cities across the country, starting on their home stage in Boston at The Berklee Performance Center and ending in Seattle just shy of a month later. The fans came out in droves, bringing with them an infectious energy that made each show unforgettable.

The band was thrilled with the response they received on the tour. "We're blown away by the love and support we've received from our fans," said ensemble director Annette Philip.  "Families drove in from miles and miles away. There was a group of 30 fans who drove from Canada to Ithaca, NY to see us. Similarly, we met fans who missed a show in their home state, who took a flight on a week day to catch BIE in another city, halfway across the country!"
