'Coming to America', a poem by Miss Kumu Gupta is an entry for the prestigious Poetry Society of America's 2023 Emily Dickinson Award.

Poetry Society of America is the nations oldest poetry organization, founded in 1910.

Ms. Gupta is a published poet with her first poem written in high school published in Kuwait Times newspaper. Kumu writes in Hindi, English and Urdu and has presented her poem at Aligarh University Alumni Association S.F.  Mushaira, very first NRI Conference Delhi Closing dinner, American Women's League Kuwait's Christmas program & Sandscript magazine and Harvard University Hindi Poetry Reading. Kumu's poem was earlier published in Poetry Anthology of America and included in a CD of poetry readings to classical music by International Society of Poets. In 2023 Kumu's  poem in Hindi is slated to be published in  Hindi magazine Drishti ( USA) and was published in Indo American Association of Greater Boston Republic Day magazine 2022.
