Arangetram: Aarushi Pant On July 2, 2022, in front of an audience of about 250 people, 18 year old Aarushi Pant, student of Guru Sridevi Ajai Thirumalai, performed her 3 hour solo Bharatnatyam Dance Arangetram. Aarushi, daughter of Mandy and Pankaj Pant, mesmerized the audience with her Nritta, Nritya and Natya. [more]

Indian classical dance is sustained by a profound philosophy. Form seeks to merge with the formless, motions seek to become a part of the motionless, and the dancing individual seeks to become one with the eternal dance of the cosmos. June might still be early arangetram season in New England, but Joshika Selvaraj’s Bharatanatyam debut recital on June 18th will definitely go down as one of my top 'picks' of this season. Joshika, a disciple of Guru Sapna Krishnan, took the audience to a state of pure bliss and joy, as she made everyone forget time, space and showcased her craft.[more]
