Sanjay Dutt is vowing never to return to Canada again. The buff one was in a huff as some Canadian press reported that he had been allowed to shoot in Canada even though he has been charged in India of being a link to Islamic terrorists. He left Calgary after shooting for Anubhav Sinha’s Dus as the cast and crew stayed back to finish the shoot.
Amisha Patel is said to be excited about the prospect of acting in an international project with spiderman Toby Maguire. The film is yet to be titled. Amisha is awaiting the release of the in Hindi English bilingual, 'The Rising' directed by Ketan Mehta.
Manoj Bajpai, one of the most talented and underrated actors in Bollywood today, will star in two of Sahara Manoranjan's forthcoming films - Pankaj Parasher's "Inteqam" and Makarand Deshpande's "Hanan". Bajpai won a Special Jury award for his role in "Pinjar"(opposite Urmila Matondkar)
The Boom girl, Katrina Kaif has signed a Pakistani film "Koi Pyar Na Karey".
The flll will be directed by Javed Raza and will have music by Amjad Bobby, the script is by Khalilur Rehaman. Pakistani actors Moamar Rana, Saud and Zara Sheikh are also in the film.
Madhuri fans are excited for the Ek Do Teen girl as rumors of her pregnancy are making the rounds. Madhuri’s secretary Riku Rakeshnath and her mommy Snehalata Dixit have confirmed the rumors adding that Ms Nene is is having her final pregnancy tests done in the US.
The only Indian entry at the 58th Edinburgh International Film Festival this year is the Sudhir Mishra-directed political thriller "Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi".

Ramgopal Varma’s Sarkar is loosely based on The Godfather and it was rumored that it’d star Amitabh Bachchan along with actors like Abhishek Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt. “Amitabh Bachchan is the only actor to play the lead in the film. Besides him, the entire cast will comprise of newcomers,” Varma says now. “I want to cast actors who have theater experience.”
Popular singer of the 70’s and 80’s Kanchan passed away last month creating hardly a ripple in the news media. Her memorable hits included Laila o Laila from the film Qurbani.
Kanchan’s husband ‘Babla’ is also a singer. She along with her husband him formed the Babla & Kanchan orchestra. The duo ar credited with the now famous Disco –Dandiya genre. They have been performing for the last 40 years in various parts for the world. Kanchan is a celebrity in countries like West Indies where she has endorsed brands like Johnson & Johnson among others. Hindi film music lovers will remember Kanchan’s association with Babla’s elder brothers Kalyanji-Anandji in a hits such as Paap Aur Punya, in which Kanchan’s duet with Mukesh, ‘Tere mere pyar ki bandh gayi....’, filmed on Sharmila Tagore and Shashi Kapoor, was a big hit. In the same film, she also sang the solo ‘O rang rasiya re...’. Kanchan also sang for Neetu Singh, Hema Malini, Zeenat Aman, Padmini Kolhapure and others in films like Uljhan, Kasam Khoon Ki, Khel Khilari Ka, Darinda, Besharam, Sau Din Saas Ke.
