Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt recently hosted a baby shower for which Alia's sister Shaheen Bhatt, Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor, his sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, cousin Karisma Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor's wife, Neila Devi arrived at their 'Vastu' home in the Pali Hill area of Mumbai. ‘Vastu’ is the same place where the two tied the nuptial knot on April 14, this year. Ranbir's sibling, Riddhima took to her Instagram and shared pictures from the baby shower. She captioned the pictures with Alia and Ranbir as 'Mommy to be' and 'Daddy to be'. For the occasion, Alia chose a beautiful yellow ensemble while Ranbir donned a peach coloured Kurta and white pyjamas. The director of 'Brahmastra' - Ayan Mukerji too attended the event as he is very close to Ranbir, having worked with him in all his three directorials, so far. Alia's close friends Anushka Ranjan and Akanksha Ranjan were present too.

After Aarya, Sushmita Sen’s search for a powerful story has ended with the tentatively-titled Amma. She will play a transgender woman, modelled on transgender activist Gauri Sawant, in the six-part series. A source reveals, “With the story focusing on the protagonist’s struggle to become India’s first transgender mother, the show will require 25-50 trans artistes every day. A total of 300 transgender artistes have been hired for pivotal crowd scenes that will be shot over the next month. After filming at the Dahisar studio for two weeks, the crew will move to the Lata Kunj bungalow in Irla. Parts of the bungalow have been rebuilt for the stint that will go on till November 7.â€

Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor, on Wednesday, penned down a heartfelt note as his wife, late actor Sridevi's film 'English Vinglish' turned 10. Taking to Instagram, the producer shared a poster of the film which he captioned, "10 years of English Vinglish :) To come back after a sabbatical of 15 years from films, with a timeless, magical performance that touched everyone's hearts - is something only Sri could do. This film will always remain special." Actor Janhvi Kapoor and her sister Khushi Kapoor also shared Boney's post on their Instagram stories. Helmed by Gauri Shinde 'English Vinglish' marked the comeback of veteran star Sridevi into films after 15 years. Apart from Sridevi, the film also starred Adil Hussain, Sujata Kumar, and also Amitabh Bachchan in a guest appearance role and received positive responses from the audience.
