TANEUSA Inaugural Event Is A Tremendous Success

TANEUSA, a newly formed Telugu association for the
Telugu speaking people around Northeast USA was
inaugurated by Dr.Dasari Narayana Rao, Union Minister
for Coal and Mines on July 4th at Chicago.
TANEUSA president Sri Ranjan Vadlapatla introduced this
association to Boston telugu community on July 25th
with the mega event of Koti and crew to benefit the
drought ridden farmers of Andhra Pradesh.
The first show of this association was attended by more
than 500 Bostonians. Also, Boston Group Chairman Sri
Subu Kota expressed his support and best wishes. President Mr. Ranjan Vadlapatla introduced
NETA president Vahini Kuppa and her committee to the
audience, who extended her NETA’s
support to TANEUSA. Also he introduced the tireless volunteers of
the event Raman Veeramraju, Sangamesh Buddiraju and Dr.
S. N. Rao.
The program started with Ranjan Vadlapatla’s warm
welcome to Koti and his crew, which was followed by
prardhana. Later Ranjan Vadlapatla welcomed special
chief guest Dr. Paruchuri Gopalakrishna garu on to the
Dais and felicitated him. Dr. Paruchuri gave a speech on Telugu culture,Literature and language, which was received with an
enthusiastic and prolonged applause by audience. Dr.
Paruchuri appreciated TANEUSA and supporting
organizations like NETA for dedicating this program to
the drought ridden farmers of Andhra Pradesh and he also
suggested that other associations should follow in the footsteps of
TANEUSA.
The beat of Koti and his crew’s tunes were greatly
applauded with standing ovations several times. Singer
Gangadhar was awarded as “Ganagandharva” by Dr.
Paruchuri and Sri Subu Kota on behalf of TANEUSA. Also,
Koti, Vijayalakshmi, Sunitha, Nithya Santhoshi, Murali
and other musicians were presented with mementos.
On this occasion, Padya nataka pithamaha Sri Gummadi
Gopalakrishna garu narrated the importance of padya
natakalu; later Dr. Paruchuri released his first Video
CD and presented it to Sri Subu Kota, Ranjan Vadlapatla and
Raman Veeramraju. This was followed by Sri Gummadi’s
padya natakam, which was well received by audience.
The program ended with the mimicry and dance
performance by Shiva Reddy. The enthralled and
mesmerized young and older crowd danced on the floor
along with Shiva Reddy. Upcoming hero Venu Gottipati
dance was also received well.
The vote of thanks was given by Sri Dr. S. N. Rao and
he specially thanked Sowjanya Veeramraju for her
hospitality to the whole team and announced the upcoming
events, Gopikakrishna by Dr. Vempati Chinasatyam and
troupe on August 27th. The program ended with National
Anthem Janaganamana.
Donations will be released to Andhra Pradesh Chief
Minister's Farmers Relief Fund.
