Sitar Concert by Rishab Rikhiram Sharma

Chinmaya Mission Boston is honored to host a special concert as a tribute to Sitar Maestro Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar. The concert will feature his youngest and last disciple, Rishab Rikhiram Sharma. Rishab will be accompanied by Nitin Mitta on tabla.

Music has been a part of Rishab’s family legacy, and he is well known for his unique style and creativity. Rishab has created a forum ‘Sitar for Mental Health’ a meditative experience through Indian classical music, which has touched the lives of hundreds of people during the pandemic. He has provided an immersive experience on all his online platforms with a mission to heal together with music, and encourages the young generation to connect and support each other through soul- stirring music.

The evening will also feature a melodious Bhajan segment by Manjul Sharma accompanied by Bagwat Krishnan on keyboard and Rajesh Pai on tabla. It is a perfect musical evening for families in the New England area to begin enjoying their summer 2022.

The much awaited sitar concert will be held on Saturday, June 25th from 5:00PM onwards in the Chinmaya Mission Boston Auditorium at 1 Union St., Andover, MA 01810. Chinmaya Mission Boston invites all music lovers to this concert and encourages everyone to reserve their tickets soon!
