Dheeraj Prasad 12/24/2021 NEMA Christmas Gala 2021 New England Malayalee Association (NEMA) celebrated Christmas and New Year with the community on Dec 11th at Grafton High School. Around 400 people attended this banquet-style event and enjoyed various entertainment programs and a festive dinner to mark the occasion. Father Pinto Paul provided a Christmas message to the community and welcome was done by Nema President Manoj Panicker. The event was made memorable with around 40 kids performing a Christmas Choir, arranged by Deepa Jacob, and Christmas Drama organized by Girish Potti. The evening also included other music and dance programs performed by various talented new England artists. The evening was made more special with Grammy Winning Violin Artist Manoj George joining us as chief guest. Dinner for the event was primarily cooked by our own members and brought a feeling of home to the function. During the event, Nema released a short film highlighting community connections and how NEMA acts as a home away from home for immigrant Malayalee families in this region. https://www.youtube.com/watch? With Christmas message, choir, drama, dances, music, short film, celebrity artist, and a traditional dinner, this turned out to be a very special evening for all and provided a great start to the 2021 holiday season.
