In 2020, Jessica Cruz produced and acted in a short film (Orchid Daydreams) which was filmed 100% remotely via iPhones with the cast and crew working from various locations in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Canada.

Title: Orchid Daydreams
Logline: Naomi is a struggling Real Estate Agent who volunteers as a Crisis Hotline Operator. Having the worst day on the anniversary of her mother’s death, she gets an unnerving call from a suicidal individual who happens to be her sister.
The short film will be released for public viewing on Amazon Prime in early 2022.
Shot remotely during the pandemic in 2020. Each actor filmed in their own homes with limited crew (family members). Voiceover was all recorded remotely. The director directed via Skype. Auditions were self-tapes and Zoom auditions only.
