SNEH, the organization that fosters Hindi and cultural heritage of India by organizing social and cultural events kicked off their summer event with a picnic social get together at Kimble farms, Littlestown, Westwood, MA. The enjoyment doubled with the lovely surroundings and beautiful weather that brought out the best of a summer day.
The day started with an introduction followed by a potluck with sumptuous and delicious food brought by the families. Even the diet conscious adults were also standing in line at the ice-cream parlor to choose their ice creams. There was a feeling of camaraderie and friendship as everyone, young and old joined in the fun and gaiety with informal discussions and plenty of laughter.
The second round of fun started with everyone introducing themselves to the group and playing “Tambola”. Luck favored a few but everyone joined in the spirit of the game. People set out to explore the farm and its surroundings. A miniature golf course attracted interested participants. The summer warmth pervaded into the spirits of the people and was a wonderful way to beckon the season.
