Fall College Admissions Workshop Lokvani and AcceptU (www.AcceptU.com), a local college counseling group comprised of former admissions officers will be offering a free workshop, “Inside the College Admissions Office,†on Sunday, September 19. Join Anil Saigal, a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University, and Marc Zawel, author of Untangling the Ivy League, as they provide insight into how admissions decisions are made and what parents can do to improve their child’s chances.
Appropriate for families of middle and high school students in grades 6– 12, you will learn:
• Ways applicants can “stand out†and be more compelling and memorable.
• Why college admissions officers reject “brilliant but boring†applicants.
• What the most important factors are in admissions decisions.
• Bottom line actionable advice you can implement today to help your child.
