Press Release 06/16/2004 The 2004 call for nominations has been extended until July 15, 2004.
Nominations are invited for people of Indian/Pakistani/Sri Lankan/Nepali/Bangladeshi origin who have made significant contribution, either research or entrepreneurial, to the advancement of technology in areas including, but not limited to, information technology, biotechnology, materials and devices, healthcare and medicine, developmental work, and energy. Nominees must be born no earlier than 1st January 1964. Some eminent personalities on the 2003 awards judging panel included Gururaj Deshpande (Sycamore Networks), N.R. Narayana Murthy (Infosys Technologies), (Prof./Dr.) Sandy Pentland (Media Lab Asia), and (Prof./Dr.) Phillip Sharp (1993 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine).
