A fantastic concert Ekal Ke Sur kept held on March 13, 2021 kept audiences enthralled with a wide range of Bollywood hits while raising nearly a million dollars to support the cause. Ekal Vidyalaya runs over 100,000 schools in remote rural villages in India. 

In keeping with the times, the entire event was virtual. Vocalists Kavita Murti, Muktar Shah, Vaibhav Vashishta and Nirupama Dey brilliantly presented evergreen and contemporary numbers with equal ease. Prashant Rao served as an emcee for the event. Ekal Vidyalaya is an organization that is running over 100,000 single teacher schools in remote rural villages teaching 2.8 million children. In addition to literacy, they also provide digital literacy through their solar powered buses that serve as a computer lab and using tablets in the Ekal schools. Telemedicine enhanced health services and skill training have been working to empower the rural villagers live a productive life. 

Monies were raised for the following projects

Schools - $365/school/year

E-Shiksha - $15,000 - One time donation (Tablets in Schools) 

Ekal on Wheels - $70,000 - One time donation (Mobile Computer Lab)

Tailoring Training Center - $30,000 -One time donation 

Integrated Village Development. - $50,000/year for 5 years

Gramothan Resource Center - $350,000 One time donation

Telemedicine Enhanced Arogya - $50,000 One time donation
