Chinmaya Mission Boston in the Spotlight series Chinmaya Mission Boston (CMB) Seva team is proud to serve
the larger community, especially in these tough times. Over the years it has
undertaken a lot of projects that involves both charity and service. Once again CMB is making positive impact to Community
Service projects with true empathy, love and generosity. • Volunteers packed 21,240 meals via Outreach Program in
February 2020 and donated to Merrimack Valley Food bank. • Over $10,000 was donated to homeless shelters and
hospitals via special fund drive. • In early pandemic months, sensing the urgency, volunteers
quickly sewed and distributed more than 1200 masks. • Donated 3000+ meals to homeless shelters in Merrimack area
around Thanksgiving in 2020. • The enthusiastic young kids from 7th grade collected about
1020 winter items in early December and donated. • Cooked over 600 hot meals these winter months for
frontline responders at Lowell General Hospital and still counting in. • Over 60 lunch kits containing sandwich, snacks and water,
are being prepared by high school kids, and donated to homeless shelter each
month, and the noble work continues. We thank all our volunteers from the bottom of our heart for
their relentless efforts and time making these initiatives a huge success and
impactful to the community. Thank you again! "Be the change
you want to see in the world" "Every act of
life is an act of worship to the ever-present" You may also access this article through our web-site http://www.lokvani.com/ |
