We are in the grip of a global pandemic. While this has put a huge stress on our healthcare system, it has also shone a light on what are considered as alternate and complimentary systems of medicine. This is absolutely unprecedented. In India, AYUSH systems are being sought out for prevention, therapeutic measures as well as post COVID-19 management at this time. Many landmark decisions have been taken and pioneering projects have been launched within a short span of time, where AYUSH systems are now being utilized in the forefront for treatment of COVID 19, and not just for prevention.

This has created an opportunity for immense data generation and documentation. It seemed relevant and necessary to organize a meeting of the minds to review and consolidate the conclusions and trends from analysis of this ongoing massive learning. We, at Council for Ayurveda Research (CAR), are delighted to share the announcement of an online summit titled ‘COVID-19: Lessons and Emerging Strategies in Ayurveda’, to facilitate the same. This summit will be held in a virtual format from September 25th-27th, 2020.
