Guru Piyari Sadh Sangat Ji Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh As we continue to move forward slowly and cautiously in opening up the Gurudwara Sahib for various activities and events, we wanted to share with you some updates on the safety protocols: WE REQUEST THAT YOU READ THESE PROTOCOLS CAREFULLY: - Given that the pandemic has been going on for about 6 months, we are starting to feel a bit more relaxed and this is leading to some lapses in the protocol in the Gurudwara Sahib. Over the past 2 weeks, we have noticed that at times, Sangat members are not following physical distancing protocols and are either not using proper masks or not putting them on properly. So, we wanted to remind you to properly follow the laid out safety protocols. This will benefit you and keep everyone in the Gurudwara Sahib as safe as possible.
- As you may recall, we had opened up the snack langar a few weeks ago. Sangat members could take some snacks and eat outside the building under the canopy. However, with the weather changing and following the protocols laid out by the state, we are now opening the Langar Hall for snacks langar. Following safety, protocols are being put in place and it is very important that you follow these directions properly:
- Langar Hall will only be open on Sundays
- Keeping the safety guidelines from the state in mind, we are going to limit the Sangat members in the Langar Hall to no more than 50 at any given time. We feel that we can achieve social distancing goals with this revised capacity.
- Please thoroughly wash your hands before coming into the Langar Hall.
- Please do not touch anything on the counter when getting food. Everything will be handed over to you by Sevadaars.
- If you are waiting in line to get food, please follow the markers on the floor to maintain social distance
- Masks should only be taken off while eating and should be put back on before you get up to throw away the plates and cups.
- Langar Hall will be available only for eating snacks. If you are done eating, please quickly proceed out of the langar hall. You are requested stay in the langar hall for the least time possible.
- Lastly, keeping safety as a top priority and given that we have limited Sevadars, Snack Langar will only be available from 10:30 am - 11:30 am.
Finding the right balance between safety and learning to live with a pandemic is not easy. Safety continues to be our top priority and with Waheguru's blessings, we are making every effort to strike the right balance. With your help and cooperation, we will continue to proceed forward slowly during these unprecedented times. If you are interested in taking responsibility for Snack Langar on any given Sunday, please contact one of the committee members. Any other questions or concerns, please let us know. Gur Fateh! |
