With the current situation that we find ourselves in, countless events, classes, and commitments have been cancelled. As such, enrichment options are very limited. Starting on the 14th of May, two high schoolers, Karthik Seetharaman and Kathir Meyyappan, will be holding a free online math workshop together through Ekal Vidyalaya. They hope to give back to the community by spreading their knowledge of problem solving and applications to students all over the country.

The math workshop will be held on Zoom, with basic and advanced sessions happening concurrently. The topics will be algebra, counting, geometry, and number theory, in that order. Both sessions will begin with lectures on the topic, in which worked examples will be shown. Following this, problems will be given for students to work out, and gain familiarity in the area. Discussion about select problems will be held as well. Following the end of the sessions, problems will be sent out, as well as notes on the material covered in the class. Both rooms will be managed by Kathir and Karthik, with students able to choose the level at which they’d like to learn.
