02/21/2020 When NEKK Seva Mandaara team announced the Azure DevOps workshop for the benefit of the community, many people questioned who the target audience for this workshop were. Was it for developers or Product Managers or others? And if it was the best use of their weekend time? Srini Ambati, Lead Cloud Solutions Architect at Microsoft, who is delivering this workshop, explains “DevOps is the union of people, processes, and products to enable continuous delivery of value to our end users. The contraction of “Dev†and “Ops†refers to replacing siloed Development and Operations to create multidisciplinary teams that now work together with shared and efficient practices and tools. Essential DevOps practices include agile planning, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and monitoring of applications. In my opinion, irrespective of the role, if one wants to improve the continuous value stream to the business, attending this session, would be valuable.†Attendees of this workshop will learn how to combine people, processes, and technologies to continuously deliver valuable products and services that meet end user needs and business objectives. It helps them to streamline software delivery by optimizing practices, improving communications and collaboration, and creating automation. They can design and implement strategies for application code, and infrastructure as code that allow for continuous integration, testing, delivery, monitoring, and feedback. A similar workshop outside will cost about $2000 but is being organized by NEKK Seva Mandaara for a low cost of $125 and all the proceeds of the workshop is being used for charitable causes.
