A Historic Night for Indian Americans
We are thrilled at the successes of Indian-American candidates across the country: in Virginia, Ghazala Hashmi and Suhas Subramanyam won vital State Senate and State House seats respectively; in California, Mano Raju won his election to remain San Francisco’s Public Defender; and in North Carolina, incumbent Dimple Ajmera won a convincing re-election to Charlotte City Council.
Last night was a testament to our community’s growing prominence in American politics, and we look forward to continuing our work recruiting, training, and supporting Indian Americans as they run for office in 2020 and beyond.
