Hopkinton is one of the first Metrowest towns to have a lighted
display on the occasion of Diwali. The display was built and installed
by the South Asian Circle of Hopkinton.

Town Common has a lighted display on the occasion of Diwali - The
Festival of Lights. The South Asian Circle of Hopkinton has put up the
display to wish all residents of Hopkinton a very happy Diwali season.
Diwali,
the festival of lights, is celebrated every autumn in the northern
hemisphere and symbolises the victory of light over darkness, good over
evil and knowledge over ignorance.
The South Asian Circle of
Hopkinton is a 501c3 non-profit with a mission to bring together the
collective strength and share the vibrant spirit of the South Asian
diaspora of Hopkinton. They do so with a variety of cultural events,
community outreach and civic engagement.
