On Saturday, October 12th, everybody came out to celebrate Diwali at the Diwali Gala in Brookline! They had almost 175 people enjoy themselves with MULTIPLE activities for both the adults and kids. Diwali Gala, an event run by South Asian Nation, took place at the Inn in Brookline.  A night full of fun and entertainment for families, featured amazing food from Bawarchi Biryani, music and lighting provided by Silk Events and a ton of fun for both adults and kids.

For all the adults, there was a full bar with a signature Diwali Gala drink, great music being played all night, fantastic food, raffle prizes, photo booth, dhol player, exhibition acts to watch, magician and mehndi!

For all the kids, there were 4 dedicated teachers/baby sitters watching the children while they did arts and crafts, watched movies, took goofy pictures at the photobooth, ate all sorts of food and snacks, and biggest hit of all, played in the dedicated video game truck! Yes, a VIDEO GAM truck!

Most importantly, this event was meant to bring the community together and to help spread cultural awareness, the current mission of South Asian Nation.  This was an amazing family experience and we look forward to attending again next year! This is the only event of it’s kind in the greater Boston area and was well worth it.
