India Association of RI India day 2019 was held on Saturday 10^th of August at the Rhode Island State House.

It was our immense pleasure to invite RI Senator Jack Reed and all the dignitaries: Consul General of India, NY Mr. Sandeep Chakravorty, RI Treasurer Seth Magaziner, Former State Representative Mr. Robert Lancia and RI Congressman Mr. David Ciciline.

The show started with a parade and followed by singing national anthems of USA and India. The stage program started with the kids fashion show, this year kids dressed up in beautiful outfits, and showcased the diversity of India, representing various states of the country!!

After which it was followed by the Classical Dance form of Kuchcipudi by Parfulla’s Academy of Dance, and Bharatanatyam by Taringini Creations School of Dance. These classical dances forms have a way to bring words to life with their graceful expressions and interpretive narration which left the audience spellbound.  

Then there was contemporary and Bollywood performances by Tamil Pasanga, Blooming Stars, Star Dancers, RI Dancing Starts, Dancing Divas & Star Kids, Dance BFF and various other groups that kept the audiences feet tapping and the crowd cheering…
