Mata Amritanandamayi/Amma, the humanitarian and spiritual leader from Kerala, India, visited all her devotees from New England region and other nearby states in Marlboro, MA on her 33rd Annual Summer Tour of North America, during a two-days program, 7th  and 8th  July, 2019, organized at the Best Western Royal Plaza and Trade Center, Marlborough. Like the spring travelling around the globe, Amma visits her devotees in their own cities or towns and offer her solace and support to all who seek it. Thousands of devotees attended the program with much enthusiasm and spiritual fervor.

Amma's New England program was made possible by generous donations given by each admirer of Amma who made made a pledge to support Amma's program in one way, then other collective, selfless efforts by the dedicated volunteers produced a miraculous outcome. Most people come to experience her embrace, her unique way of spreading comfort to the world. Some are drawn to her charitable works and others to learn more from one of the preeminent spiritual teachers of the present time. However, most end up being moved & inspired by Amma.

On these two-days, the basic programs included were Satsang by Amma followed by the melodious Bhajans that were led by Amma. Later she performed meditation and chanting of World Peace Prayer along with all the devotees.  The token lines were opened to ensure everyone has an equal chance of meeting her in person without rushing. During Darshan, Amma began to embrace those who had come to see her and whispered her blessings in their ears. The stage guests who welcomed and garlanded Amma were: Wunnamwau Tom Frederick, The 2nd Chief of The Chappaquiddick Tribe of Massachusetts, Founder of Our Lady of All Nations Church, Founder of the School of Earth Medicine; and Dr. Rami Burstein (and Mrs. Joni Burstein), Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School, Vice Chair, Anesthesia, Critical Care & Pain Medicine Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Number of vendors were doing brisk business selling clothes, coffee, and Juice smoothies. Inside the hall, a large portion of it had been turned into a kind of bazaar specializing in all things that had a logo of Amma: T-shirts, hoodies, books, DVDs, magnets, key chains, essential oils, body washes, massage corner, and mantra counters. There were Amma jewelry, bracelets, and one of the most sought-after objects for sale was the Amma dolls: a stuffed, handcrafted replica of Amma.  Dressed in white flowing garments, vendors smiled and chatted very convincingly with devotees about their products.

Proceeds from Amma's tours help to fund Embracing the World, Amma's worldwide network of humanitarian projects active in more than 40 countries. Best known for disaster relief work in India, Japan, Haiti and the United States, Embracing the World works to alleviate human suffering wherever and whenever possible.

Big thanks were given to all those who contributed so generously, worked hard as volunteers and the all the participants who made the program a successful one. Many devotees responded with joy and enthusiasm. Devotees had the wonderful blessing of honoring Amma's summer visit to Massachusetts.

I come to see Amma every year from New Jersey, as Amma is a dynamic and sought-after speaker on spatiality and humanity – said one of the devotees.
