Speaking to the press Shahrukh Khan said, "This is an honor for me because my mother's name will be associated with mother Teresa." He added, "I hope this pediatric center is never utilized because I don't want any child to fall sick." Suresh Nanvati Chairman of the hospital said that the center would provide free services to the underprivileged children recommended by the missionaries. "The children will receive the standard services that the hospital offers," he said.
