Sahana Sankar participated in "Mylai to Kanchi" a group rendition of Shri. Papanasam Sivan songs (conducted By Sri. Papanasam Ashok Ramani).
Sahana participated in the group rendition of compositions by Shri. Papanasam Sivan and Sri. Syama Sastri in the thematic presentation Mylai to Kanchi conducted by Shri. Papanasam Ashok Ramani along with 150 students across North America.
She learns music from her mother Smt. Uma Sankar and now recently from Uma Prakash (one of the very popular Chinmaya Sisters, Chennai). She also participates in all the music festivals in New England area and have sung and won competitions. Sahana also plays the piano and Cello. She is part of the school Orchestra. She is a 5th grader from Sherwood Middle School, Shrewsbury. Her hobbies are Sketching, painting, reading and spending time with family.
