The IIT AGNE Data Science Challenge is an event with something for everyone from the lay person curious about data science to the accomplished data scientist. This event will be a learning experience where data science students and practitioners work together to solve a real-world problem.

For the participating data science teams,the day will begin with the competition kick-off where the problem to be solved will be presented. Then teams of 2-4 data scientists (aspiring students and accomplished professionals) will compete to create a predictive analytics model from a Financial Investment Data set. At the end of the day, the teams will present their final models and the solution approach. A panel of judges will rank the teams on their work for accuracy and explain-ability.

In the evening there will be a panel discussion on recent industry trends in data science and its impact on society. You may also choose to attend a deeper dive Data Science Training Session in the morning. You may also attend the competitors presentations to get a deeper understanding.
