Voice of the Mothers and the Youth –
SAPNE meets Feb 17 Wherever we are, whatever we are, however old we are, our
mother’s voice stays with us. Mother is
a different cosmic creation that nurtures us, supports us, stands by us and
walks with us. We understand the
principles of nurturing when we become parents, but mother remains a refuge all
the time. Mothers speak, they cry, they complain and they shout. Mothers mend the errors in the world through
their sharp observation and natural insight.
Mothers forgive and they accept.
The universe is sustained through the forgiveness of the mothers. Together with the youth, mothers create a new set. It is a set of freshness, hopefulness, full
of expectation of a bright tomorrow.
Hope begets hope and the youth receives wings. Mothers help the young to fly out and wait
for the return. They bestow their hope
on new youth. We celebrate the Voice of the Mothers and the Youth in the
winter meeting of SAPNE (South Asian Poets of New England) on Sunday, February
17 at Lexington Public Library, 1874 Mass Ave, Lexington. The program begins at 2 PM and continues till
4:30 PM. I appeal all to join.
You can read a poem from literature of your choice or you can read your
fresh composition. You can read in any
language. Please feel free to pick up
treasured poems from your cultural heritage and recite them. Please write to indiadisoverycenterusa@gmail.com if you wish to join. Let me also invite all buddying writers. Age is no barrier. Express yourself in your language or
English. Let your voice be heard! Your mother would be proud of you! You may also access this article through our web-site http://www.lokvani.com/ |
