IAGB ready to celebrate Republic Day on January 26, 2019

IAGB is eagerly looking forward to celebrating India’s 70th republic day on January 26, 2019 at the Burlington High School, Burlington, MA.

This is a day-long celebration comprising of various segments. The event will start at 1 pm with the following competitions.

Chess: 1 pm
Art: 1:45 pm
Carrom: 2 pm
Story-telling: 2 pm
GK/Trivia: 2 pm

This will be followed by a joint segment of cultural programs featuring the theme of ‘Kashmir to Kanyakumari’ and the Grande Finale of IAGB Antakshari starting at 4 pm. Thirteen groups made up of several choreographers and local performers of all ages will present cultural performances representing various states and cultures of India. Intertwined with the cultural performances will be various rounds of IAGB Antakshari. Six teams will participate in the Grande Finale. The teams are:

Burmanics: Anish Desai and Krishna Desai
Deewane: Sapan Saxena and Suruchi Sinha Saxena
Piku PK: Japneet Kawatra and Vaibhav Bhoite
Mile Sur Mera Tumhara: Shilpa Shetty Atnoor and Rajesh Iyer
Bijalee: Samita Apte and Prachi Mahurkar
Pawan-Divya: Pawan Lalwani and Divya Lalwani

Throughout the event, attendees will get to interact with local exhibitors and vendors from various corners of our community. Opportunities are still available for ads in the brochure as well as booth/table rentals at Republic Day Mela.

Also available all day are delicious snacks and dinner brought to us by Godavari.

Attendance at the event is free for the community. IAGB is proud to bring creative and entertaining events that all of our community can enjoy while celebrating the pride of India.
