01/11/2019 Featuring Rohina Malik (last seen at New Rep’s January 2018 production of Unveiled) Kim Schultz, and Susan Stone. Each of these storytellers tells three stories inspired by their respective faith journeys. They are accompanied by Lucia Thomas on violin, oud, and guitar. With the recent uptick of hateful and vitriolic language, Rohina Malik, a Muslim storyteller, set out to create a project dedicated to showcasing peace and commonalities between us all. She approached Susan Stone, a Jewish storyteller, and Kim Schultz, who identifies as a Christian storyteller, with an idea: what if they all told stories from their faiths with the goal of bringing people together in the name of peace, curiosity, and similarities among the faiths. Both Kim and Susan jumped at this opportunity and Keeping Faith: Sisters of Story was born. You may also access this article through our web-site http://www.lokvani.com/ |
