The following guests will address the audience and cover key aspects of town governance and committee appointments: 1. Suzie Barry- Chairperson, Board of Selectmen 2. Joe Pato- Member, Board of Selectmen 3. James Malloy- Lexington Town Manager In addition, current GIG members who are involved in elected positions as well as members of Boards and Committees will share their experiences and answer audience questions. This is a good event for people interested in running for an elected position in the next election cycle or applying for boards and committee positions in the future. There are 18 Indian-American Town Meeting Members in Lexington, one School Committee member and several members on appointed Boards and Committees. The Getting Involved Group (GIG) is proud to play a role in this success and hopes to continue the momentum with the community’s support. The event is free and light refreshments will be served. While walk-ins are welcome, the event Co-Chairs Anil Ahuja and Vineeta Kumar are requesting people RSVP to ialgig.ma@gmail.com by December 2nd, as it will help them plan better You may also access this article through our web-site http://www.lokvani.com/ |
