India Association of New Hampshire (IANH) hosted the Diwali and Dandiya Festival to mark the Indian festival season. This community event was attended by a crowd of approximately 650 people including over 200 participants.

Diwali is celebrated by the people of Asian subcontinent to celebrate the triumph of good over evil as depicted in the various mythological stories. It marks the spirit of spreading joy and happiness among the community members. The kids as small as 4 and 5-year-old showed great enthusiasm to showcase their talent in music and dance performances. Hours of rehearsals and hard work put in the performances by the teachers and choreographers was very evident. The cultural show was followed by the second-part where people participated in the Dandiya dance to celebrate yet another festival of goddesses.

The Nashua City Mayor Mr. Jim Donchess graced the occasion as a Chief Guest and was very impressed by the Indian cultural show. He appreciated all the participants and IANH efforts to organize this community event. He spent a couple of hours watching the performances and exploring the IANH activities. IANH also handed over the check of $3000 towards the Kerala Flood relief that was raised through the IANH membership. President of New England Malayalee Association (NEMA) Mr. Deeraj personally received the check from IANH along with NEMA officers Ms. Asha Manish and Ms. Jaya Arvind. Another guest performer, Ms. Gunjan Kuthalia, founder of NRILife productions, who is the producer of soon to be released Netflix movie "Encrypted" presented a poetry that she wrote herself. Sugandha Gopal who recently got crowned as Mrs. Earth India also was invited to be part of the fashion show where she was a show stopper. Ambika Mantani and Kruti Shah of Gatim Creators did a great job putting together the grand backdrop that added a wonderful charm on the stage.
