Raksha Soni 08/23/2018 Ekal Vidyalaya New England Chapter Re-launches IndiArt 2018 India, a beautiful potpourri of cultures, always remains a fascinating and captivating beauty for artists of all age groups. The culture of India refers collectively to the thousands of distinct and unique cultures of all religions and communities present in India. India's languages, religions, dance, music, architecture, food, and customs differ from place to place within the country. Indian festivals celebrations show the unity and diversity among the people. The theme resonates with the vibrant festivals deeply rooted in the culture of India and the artists should find it equally fun and challenging. The IndiArt contest is open for local children and adults (6 and above), and includes four categories: sub-junior (6-10), junior (11-13), senior (14-17), and adult (18 & up). In each category, the first-place winner will receive a trophy while the second-place winner will receive a medal. Additionally, Brush & Paisley in Burlington, MA is giving the following prizes to the winners: Sub-junior, junior and senior categories: 1st Prize: 4 art classes 2nd Prize: 2 art classes 3rd Prize: 1 art class Adult Category: 1st Prize: 3 passes of Paint-together sessions 2nd Prize: 2 passes of Paint-together sessions 3rd Prize: 1 pass of Paint-together session All entries will receive a participation certificate and will be honored and recognized at the award ceremony on September 15th, 2018. All artwork will be put up for silent auction at the art show, which will be held on September 15th, 2018. Submissions must be received by September 1st. Talking about the contest event manager and volunteer of Ekal New England Raksha Soni said “ IndiArt is designed to enable people from the New England area to use their art to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children in India. We are very fortunate of have New England Artists that have come on board as IndiArt ambassadors. We are hopeful that this contest will be well received by the New England Community".
