IIT AGNE Annual Picnic 2018

IIT AGNE hosted a picnic at the beautiful NARA park in Acton MA on July 28, 2018, which is open to all IITians, members of the local community and their families. This was a change from the Cochituate State Park in Framingham, where it is usually held.

The picnic was well attended with over 150 people from all over the greater Boston area, including a number of undergraduate students from IITs in India who are doing internships or a projects at Boston universities. This was a good occasion for members of the community to get together, catch up and network.

The picnic featured fun and games, including several rounds of Antakshari and Hindi Movie Quiz conducted by Venki Nagesha; and a spirited round of Tombola/Bingo conducted by Praful Thakkar. The food catered from Mayuri in Acton, with a IIT AGNE members and their families providing picnic special items, such as grilled corn, tandoori chicken, bhelpuri and watermelon. IIT AGNE members who contributed to the success of the picnic are Raj & Bhavna Laad, Raj & Shiamin Melville, Praful Thakkar, Kartik Varadarajan, Bala Balasubramanian, Rohit Singh, Roopesh Mathur, Kapeeleshwar Krishana and their families.
