Janani Sharma 07/19/2018 Hundreds of Hearts Touched in “The Heartfulness Way†Book New England Book Launches The book launch on July 1st took place at Sri Lakshmi Temple, and was supplemented by a splendid musical performance by Grammy nominated flute Maestro, Shashank Subramanyam and his accompanist Tiravarur Vaidyanathan on Mridangam, following Pollock’s talk and meditation. The evening began at 5 PM on the dot, with MC Shruti Sehra opening for Pollock’s talk. Joshua talked about his childhood and beginnings which led him down a path towards meditation. Expanding upon many abstract concepts like spirituality, Pollock talked about the divine deeper elements of the human experience which unite us all, and those which we seek in this journey of spirituality. Following his ponder worthy talk, was a short 20 minute meditation session which the audience could experience for themselves. After awakening from this silence, Shashank SUbramanyam and Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan gracefully took the stage and awed the audience of upwards 200 people with their unreplicable musical genius. They both have recently won the prestigious Sangeet Natak academy award in India. The concert included some very melodious carnatic compositions in Raga Dharmavathi, Kalyani followed by some devotional compositions that left the audience spellbound. Shashank also explained some difficult techniques he uses in flute that has set him apart as a unique flutist in the world of Indian classical instrumental music. “The Heartfulness Way†event in the Nashua location took place on Amherst street,red by Global Adult Daycare with an audience of over fifty new and old meditators. The well-sized audience enjoyed the same informational topics as the audience before, with a meditation session that lasted more than 15 minutes. Partnered with a mixed western and Indian musical performance by rising singers for Berklee Indian Ensemble, Janani Sharma and Muheet Bharat. In the divine essence of the Northeastern University Sacred Space located in the heart of Boston, Joshua Pollock conducted a cosy couple of dozen audience people at noon. The presentation lasted about a half hour, and was followed by a peaceful meditation and friendly questioning session. The Sacred Space of Northeastern is a local, open area where students of all backgrounds and religions, from Christianity to Hinduism, may practice their beliefs. This was the last of New England that Joshua Pollock enlightened in this tour. This relaxation and meditation is certainly not a one-off experience.
