Press Release 03/22/2018 Ladies’ Mehndi Night Call up a few girlfriends and head to Chelmsford on Sunday, April 8th for an evening of mehndi, music, and delicious food! This event will be hosted by Saheli, a non-profit organization based in Massachusetts that works to empower South Asian women and families to lead safe and healthy lives. Every year, Saheli provides hundreds of women and children with legal and financial assistance, support and counseling in a South Asian language, career skills training, mental health referrals, and in some cases shelter and protection. The mehndi night will be a comfortable space where women can celebrate and enjoy each other’s company, while having access to talented, professional mehndi artists. Please consider joining Saheli at the event, and remember to bring your friends! The celebration is aimed at spreading the word about Saheli throughout all South Asian communities. It’s a great place to invite and meet up with friends from all walks of life, while also supporting a good cause. In past years, this event for women and girls has been sold out. The mehndi night is being organized by long-time Saheli volunteer, Farhat Rangwalla, and promises to be a fun-filled event with laughter, music, dance, free raffles, excellent South Asian food, and of course mehndi! This event is for ladies and their children only.
