We caught up Poornima Saravanan, the lady behind the Proud Peacock collection.

Lokvani: Why did you start this business?
Poornima: Because there is no other store in the area that carries simple & elegant fairly priced clothing that is currently in fashion. Many of my customers agree that our collection is very carefully picked and modestly priced.

Lokvani : What is your speciality?
Poornima: My speciality is providing the customers simple, yet elegant and practical clothing for any occasion.

Poornima: We have a very good web site, and we plan to sell on the web site in the future. We can take orders over the phone also.

Lokvani : Do you design clothes for weddings?
Poornima: We do have a great bridal selection and we can custom fit the clothing. We have unique hand crafted wedding favors. We also work with event planners.

Lokvani : Do you exhibit at events?
Poornima: We have exhibitions and open houses 3-4 times a year at our showroom in Westborough. Our next exhibition is coming up on Jan 3-4, 2004. Please see our web site for details.
