NESSP is excited to announce the Kalash Sthapana on Dussera at the Shirdi Sai temple in Groton , MA

As New England Shirdi Sai Parivaar (NESSP) announced the change of dates to inauguration of the new Shirdi Sai Temple in Groton, MA due to unforeseen and unavoidable logistical delays, Here is a very exciting and good news to all the devotees.

Baba has blessed us with the opportunity to utilize the auspicious Dasami Muhurat (30 th September) for performing the Kalash Sthapana Pooja. The Kalash Sthapana Pooja is expected to be for around 30 minutes. After the pooja ritual the kalash will be fixed on top of the shikar with the help of a gigantic crane. Once the Pooja is completed, all Aartis and temple operations will continue at the Chelmsford temple, till the Groton temple is inaugurated.

The actual kumbhashekam will be on 23rd November 2017 during inauguration.

The auspicious floral festival, “Bathukamma Panduga” will be celebrated in the current temple in Chelmsford on Friday 29 th September. This is one of the most unique festivals celebrated in South India especially in Telangana region. Goddess Maha Gowri is worshipped in the form of Bathukamma (Come Alive Mother Gowri). Beautiful flower heaps are arranged with different kind of flowers with most medicinal values. Immersion of bathukamma will also done in the temple. Devotees may bring their own bathukummas.

Vijaya Dasami/ Dussera which also happens to be Baba’s punya tithi (99 th ) will be celebrated at the current temple in Chelmsford right after the kalash sthapana at the new temple.

The day begins with with Abhishekam , followed by Palkhi Procession at the temple premises, laghu aarti at 2:30 ( The time baba had left his mortal coil) and deepa alankarana in the evening.

Bhandara/Prasadam will be served all day.

Satsang sessions on Bhagvatgeeta are held by Challa Krishnamurthy Garu on every Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
