New England Shirdi Sai Parivaar (NESSP) announces a change of date to the inauguration of the new Shirdi Sai Temple in Groton, MA due to unforeseen and unavoidable logistical delays.  This upcoming temple that is slated to become the largest Shirdi Sai temple in North America is now scheduled to be inaugurated during the entire week of November 19-26, 2017. This week long inauguration festival promises to be a celebration of worship, ceremony, and a vibrant showcase of music, dance, ancient culture and tradition.

NESSP invites all devotees, far and near, to join us on this on this auspicious occasion, as we welcome our beloved Sadguru Sri Sainath Maharaj into His new Abode at the majestic new temple at 99 Shirdi Way, Groton, MA.  This grand temple will also host other Hindu Gods, Goddesses and temple deities such as the Sri Venkateshwara Parivaar, Sri Rama Parivaar, Sri Radha Krishna, Sri Ganesha, Navagraha, Shivalinga, Sri Durga Mata, Sri Sharika Mata, and Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari,

As part of the inauguration, NESSP is planning a Sahasra Kalasha (1008 Kalashas) MahaKumbhabhishekam for the RajaGopuram of the temple. Kumbhabhishekam is a temple consecration ceremony conducted to purify the temple by bathing its crown, Shikhar or Gopuram in sanctified water, honey, milk, and other libations at an auspicious time accompanied by chanting and other religious rites. Devotees can participate in this ceremony by sponsoring a Kalasha, the holy waters from which will be used in purification rituals and for Abhishekam of the RajGopuram on their behalf. All devotees are invited to participate in this ceremony by sponsoring Kalashas that will be used to consecrate the Shikhar or Gopuram of the temple.

तेपि पापैर्व्विनिर्मुक्ताः प्रयान्त्यच्युतलोकतां ।
समतीतं भविष्यञ्च कुलानामयुतं नरः ॥
विष्णुलोकं नयत्याशु कारयित्वा हरेर्गृहं ।
वसन्ति पितरो दृष्ट्वा विष्णुलोके ह्यलङ्कृताः ॥

Taipi pāpairvinirmuktāh prayāntyachyuta lokatāḿ |
Samatētam bhavishyancha kulānāmayutaḿ naraḥ ||
Vishnulokaḿ nayatyāsu kāryitvā haregṛhaḿ |
Vasanti pitaro dṛṣhṭvā vishnuloke hylankṛtāḥ ||
(Agni Purāṇ)

Our scripture says - One who contributes towards the construction of a temple or participate in the sacred ritual of Kumbhabhishekam not only attains the celestial abode of Lord Vishnu but also frees his pitrs (Departed ancestors) from their sins and also takes pride of leading their 10 thousand future generations, to the celestial abode of lord Vishnu and their forefathers will be decked with precious jewels and becomes one with Vishnu at his lotus feet.
