Significance of Guru Purnima

Guru Purnima is the day we honor all our Gurus and Guru Parampara (Lineage of spiritual masters).
 
Pure Knowledge blessed by the eloquent silence of Lord Dakshinamurthy (Lord Shiva) was absorbed by the quiet, alert and ready minds of the ancient sages. Based on this immortal backdrop of Guru Parampara, God, the Supreme Guru and Self within all, awakens the inspired lineage of sages which include Veda Vyasa, the compiler of all Vedas and Shuka Muni among other perceptors. Historical times mark the presence of Adi Shankara who reestablished the sacred timelessness of this wisdom as a venerable Teacher. Since then, mankind's insatiable thirst to know the Changeless Source has been answered by realized Masters in hallowed succession. As a disciple bows in reverence to that teacher before him, he acknowledges in awe the flow of that Knowledge from the Primordial to the Present.

Summer Adult Satsang Schedule

As we have wrapped our regular Bala Vihar session, Acharya Shashi ji is offering classes on Purusha Suktam. This class offers both practice of chanting and the meaning of Purusha Suktam.

August: Sundays 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th

In addition, Acharya Shashi ji will be conducting Wednesday Satsangs on Aditya Hrudayam. Attendees will be able to learn chanting and its meaning.
