Cindy Friedman was the long-time Chief of Staff to the late Senator Ken Donnelly. She won the Democratic nomination for his seat in the primaries that were held on June 27. The election is scheduled on July 25.
“Now more than ever, state government matters. That’s why I’m running to be our next State Senator. Getting things done in the State House requires a leader who understands our values and will be a tireless advocate for communities†says Cindy Friedman.
Cindy Friedman was the long-time Chief of Staff to the late Senator Ken Donnelly, whose family enthusiastically endorses her in her campaign to succeed him as the next 4th Middlesex State Senator – as have a growing list of state and local elected officials.
A former public school teacher, community activist, and high-tech manager, Cindy knows how to solve problems, find agreement, and deliver results. For the last nine years, she worked every day as Senator Donnelly’s partner to serve the people of Arlington, Billerica, Burlington, Lexington and Woburn. She’s running now to keep fighting for the issues that matter to our families and to be an advocate for those in need.
“I am incredibly grateful to the voters in the 4th Middlesex for electing me as the Democratic nominee tonight. I congratulate Sean and Mary Ann for a positive, spirited campaign that gave us a chance to discuss important issues for the people of the district and the Commonwealth. There will be much more to say in the coming days about this campaign, especially about the amazing volunteers and supporters who made this possible, and the important work that lies ahead. I look forward to working with all of you†said Cindy in her acceptance speech.
