Parveen Minocha 03/30/2017 Rangon ki Duniya, Rangon se Rangeen Holi ki Masti, Kuch uthli, Kuch Sangeen Gairon ko Rang de, Apno ke Sang, Jeevan mein bhar de, Masti ke Rang When you think of the Indian Festival of Holi, you think of Spring and you think of colors. Being New Englanders, Spring or no Spring, Holi was celebrated in its full majestic form on Mar 25 at Braj Mandir in Holbrook, MA. The team at Braj Mandir put together a wonderful program where there was something for everyone to celebrate and have fun. The event was attended by a huge crowd. There was round robin type Kirtan going on at the temple from 9 am. It was coordinated by Paul Coggins (Gopal das). Radha-Krishna bhakts enjoyed the serene ‘dhun’. The Kirtan was concluded with Arati and Prasadam. Parallely, there was a cultural program going on at the South School next doors. This place was packed with young performers in glittering costumes, enthusiast parents, and a supporting crowd. Program started with Holi Songs and followed with cute dance numbers beautifully choreographed by local dance teachers. There was a sumptuous vegetarian lunch served at the event. It was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. After the cultural program ended, everyone gathered in the parking lot for the real fun - outdoor Holi! Braj Mandir has been known to attract the masses for a very authentic and fun Holi experience, as they say, ‘a heart and mind opening experience’! Ekal Vidyalaya New England is thankful to Braj Mandir team for giving them space to promote their cause. This event truly brought out the essence of Holi, bringing the community together and share some fun. Will end with another verse of my Holi poem: Holi yaad karaye Baar baar Har rang hai alag, har rang Aalishaan Saje koi Tasweer tabhi Melayein jab rang, Bhool kar apni Pahchaan! Happy Holi!
